My own journey
From burnout to balance
I know what it's like to do everything "right" and still feel off-balance.

Doing everything right
I was eating healthily, exercising, meditating, thinking positively and challenging my limiting beliefs.
But something still felt off. I was overwhelmed by conflicting wellness advice and health hacks. I relied on external measurements: numbers on scales, weights I could lift. I tracked everything - sleep, heart rate, calories, macros. But in the process, I completely disconnected from my own intuition.
That's when I discovered Ayurveda.
I'd always been curious about it, but during a trip to India, I picked up a book that changed everything. For the first time, I found a framework that actually explained what my body had been trying to tell me.
Learning about this ancient science gave me access to something I'd been missing: a holistic understanding of how our bodies, minds, and lives are interconnected. It taught me to work with natural rhythms rather than against them.
As I began incorporating Ayurvedic practices, I noticed something remarkable. It wasn't just my body that started functioning better - my mind became clearer too.

“How could I make aligned decisions about my career and relationships if my body was out of balance?”
Everything finally made sense.
Applying Ayurveda to our lives: the missing piece
Through Ayurveda, I finally understood my own constitution - what actually nourishes me, and what depletes me.
I discovered that much of the guidance I'd been following from modern health gurus wasn't helping me at all. It was burning me out.
What I found instead was refreshingly simple: practical changes based on my body type and how nature actually works. No fancy biohacks. Just common sense.
Vata · Air & Space, with Pitta
Online quizzes told me I was Pitta. But a full assessment with an Ayurvedic doctor revealed I'm predominantly Vata, with Pitta elements - and suddenly it all made sense. I love high-intensity training like CrossFit - that's the Pitta in me! - and I wasn't willing to give up something that brings me so much joy. But it explained why I'd often feel drained afterwards, and why grounding yin yoga always brought me back to balance. Even my cravings for sweet, grounding foods were my body asking to settle my Vata.
Ayurveda taught me how to work with these traits instead of against them. Rather than giving up the workouts I love, I balance them - alternating CrossFit with grounding yin yoga days, and choosing warm, grounding foods such as porridge and dates to calm my mind, steady my body and ease overwhelm. Becoming in tune with my own rhythms helped me know when to push and when to pull back - following natural cycles throughout the day, month and year.
This ancient wisdom treats us as part of a greater whole, not isolated bodies to be optimised.
And that shift in perspective changed everything.

Where I am now: my approach to Ayurvedic Wellness Coaching
My work in transformational coaching taught me how our personal narratives and relationship patterns shape our lives. Ayurveda added another layer: the wisdom to honour how we're each uniquely built.
Understanding different dosha types means I can meet people where they are - respecting their natural constitution rather than expecting everyone to be a certain way, or thrive on the same advice.
For me personally, Ayurveda has given me the tools to work with my tendencies and stop fighting them. I understand why I'm drawn to certain things, and how to catch myself when I'm tipping out of balance. It means I can show up better - for my clients, my loved ones, and myself.
I feel privileged to combine coaching with Ayurvedic wisdom. Through this holistic treatment, my clients don't just understand why they feel stuck - they get practical tools to actually become capable and in control. To genuinely enjoy their lives.
This isn't about changing who you are. It's about celebrating it.
